PNLE 2027 Schedule & 2026 Results (Nursing Board Exam)

The next PNLE is in February 2027 if PRC keeps the 2026 pattern — the official dates are not out yet. PRC normally posts the whole next-year calendar in mid-November (the 2026 one went up on November 17, 2025), so expect PRC to publish the 2027 PNLE dates around mid-November 2026 (what is known so far). Both 2026 rounds are over: the Aug 29–30, 2026 round — with make-up sittings on September 11–12 for Region III and Metro Manila — had its results released on September 18, 2026: 28,652 of 37,359 examinees passed (76.69%).

PNLE 2027 Schedule: What Is Known So Far

PRC has not yet released the 2027 schedule. It publishes the whole following-year calendar in one resolution, usually signed in late October and posted on prc.gov.ph in mid-November — the 2026 schedule (Resolution No. 2113, s. 2025) was signed on October 23, 2025 and posted on November 17, 2025 — so the PNLE 2027 schedule release date is most likely November 2026. Until then, every 2027 date circulating is unofficial:

  • February/August pattern: 2026 moved the PNLE from the old May/November cycle to February and August. Review centers are enrolling for a “PNLE February 2027” round on the assumption that the pattern continues; PRC has not confirmed it.
  • Filing window: PRC opened 2026 filing about three months before each exam and closed it four to six weeks before, so a late-February 2027 round would file from roughly late November 2026 to mid-January 2027.

August 2026 PNLE: Rescheduled Sittings and Results

Two PRC advisories changed the second round for some examinees. On August 28, 2026 PRC cancelled the August 29–30 NLE in Region III (San Fernando, Pampanga and Cabanatuan, Nueva Ecija testing centers) because of regionwide flooding and PAGASA heavy rainfall warnings, and on August 30 it set the new Region III dates at September 11–12, 2026. The same day PRC cancelled the second exam day (August 30) in all Metro Manila testing centers and rescheduled it to September 12, 2026. Examinees in every other testing center took the exam on the original dates.

The make-up sittings did not delay the results. PRC released the August–September 2026 NLE results on September 18, 2026 — the target date printed in the resolution, five working days after the last sitting: 28,652 of 37,359 examinees passed (76.69%) across 26 testing centers, with 21 results withheld pending PRC’s determination of the examinees’ liabilities. Online registration for the new nurses’ Professional ID and Certificate of Registration opens on October 13, 2026 through LERIS; the oath-taking date and venue are still to be announced on prc.gov.ph.

How to Apply for the PNLE (LERIS)

  1. Create or log in to your account on LERIS, PRC's Licensure Examination and Registration Information System, at online.prc.gov.ph.
  2. Select the Nurses licensure examination and your preferred exam center.
  3. Upload your documents and ID photo, then pay the examination fee through the available payment channels.
  4. Book an appointment and submit your requirements at your chosen PRC office before the deadline.
  5. File within the application window shown above — late applications are not accepted except in justifiable cases defined by PRC rules.

PNLE Results 2026: When and Where They Come Out

PRC's target release dates were March 19, 2026 for the Feb 26–27, 2026 exam and September 18, 2026 for the Aug 29–30, 2026 exam. Both came out in five working days: the February round on March 6, 2026 (3,611 of 8,162 passed, 44.24%) and the August–September round on September 18, 2026 (28,652 of 37,359 passed, 76.69%). Targets are printed in the resolution as an upper bound — the actual release is announced only by PRC. Where the results are published

  1. prc.gov.ph — the official list of passers (alphabetical) and the top 10, posted as a news release on prc.gov.ph and on PRC's official Facebook page.
  2. Verification of Rating — your own scores per subject, through LERIS at online.prc.gov.ph once PRC opens the verification service for that exam.
  3. News sites and review centers republish the list within hours; treat anything not on prc.gov.ph as unofficial.

Passing score

Under RA 9173 you pass with a general average of at least 75% and no subject rated below 60%. A general average of 75% or higher with one subject below 60% is a conditional result — PRC will indicate the subject to be retaken.

After you pass

  1. Register through LERIS once PRC opens online initial registration for the new nurses — for the August–September 2026 passers it opens on October 13, 2026; bring the system-generated registration form and a valid government ID to your appointment.
  2. Attend the oath-taking organised by PRC and the Board of Nursing (dates are announced with the results).
  3. Claim your professional ID and certificate of registration at the PRC office named in your appointment.

PNLE Results History 2019–2026: Pass Rates, Exam Months and Release Speed

Every row below is taken from PRC’s press release for that round. The PNLE was a May/November exam through 2025 — except 2020, when both rounds were postponed for COVID-19 and never held, and 2021, when the first round moved to July — and became a February/August exam in 2026 under Resolution No. 2113, s. 2025. Pass rates have ranged from 44.24% (February 2026) to 90.04% (November 2025); the larger November cohorts have posted the higher rates. Results have come out 4 to 15 working days after the exam, and both 2026 rounds took five.

Retakes

Under the Philippine Nursing Act of 2002 (RA 9173), an examinee who fails the PNLE three consecutive times must complete a refresher course before retaking the exam. Since the PNLE is offered twice a year, the next chance after a failed round is normally about six months later.

How many days before the February 2027 PNLE?

PRC has not set the February 2027 date yet, so any countdown is an estimate. Counting to February 26, 2027 — one year after the Feb 26–27, 2026 round — it is about 130 days away, and if PRC repeats the 2026 timing, LERIS filing would open in about 40 days (around November 28, 2026). When is the next PNLE?

There is no PNLE round left in 2026: both rounds (Feb 26–27, 2026 and Aug 29–30, 2026) have been held and the results are out. The next PNLE is in 2027. PRC has not released the 2027 schedule — it normally publishes the whole following-year calendar on prc.gov.ph in mid-November, so expect the dates around November 2026. If the February/August pattern introduced in 2026 continues, the next round would fall in late February 2027, but that is unconfirmed until PRC posts it.

When is the nursing board exam in 2026?

Was the August 2026 PNLE rescheduled?

Partly. Is Cabanatuan a PNLE testing center?

It was in 2026: PRC's August 2026 advisory named San Fernando, Pampanga and Cabanatuan, Nueva Ecija as the Region III testing centers for the NLE. PRC fixes the testing centers for each round in the schedule resolution and the program of examination, so the 2027 list arrives with the 2027 calendar — check the centers offered in LERIS when you file.

What are the requirements for the nursing board exam?

Under RA 9173, Sec. 13 you must be a Filipino citizen (or a citizen of a country that lets Filipino nurses practise there on reciprocity), of good moral character, and a holder of a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from a CHED-recognised college or university. When filing in LERIS, PRC asks for your transcript of records with scanned picture and the remark “For Board Examination Purposes”, a PSA birth certificate, a PSA marriage certificate if you file under a married name, and the examination fee; PRC lists the exact set for the current round inside LERIS.

Is this schedule official?

The dates are transcribed from PRC Resolution No. 2113, s. 2025 — the official Schedule of Licensure Examinations for 2026. Always confirm on prc.gov.ph before booking travel or review classes; PRC can move dates by later resolution.
