Criminology Board Exam Schedule 2026 (CLE)

All 2026 rounds of the Criminologist Licensure Examination (CLE) have been held (Feb 4–6, 2026 and Aug 1–3, 2026). Results of the Aug 1–3, 2026 exam came out on September 1, 2026: 16,952 of 29,452 passed (57.56%). The next criminology board exam is in 2027. PRC has not published the 2027 calendar yet — it normally posts the whole next-year schedule in mid-November (the 2026 one went up on November 17, 2025). Passing Score for the Criminologist Licensure Examination (CLE)

A weighted average of 75% with no grade below 60% in any subject. An examinee who reaches the 75% average but falls below 60% in a subject gets a deferred result and may retake that subject once within two years, needing at least 80% in it; failing three or more subjects means failing the whole exam. What the exam covers

Six subjects, weighted under Board Resolution No. 01, s. 2021 (effective April 16, 2021): Criminal Law, Jurisprudence and Procedure 20%; Law Enforcement Administration 15%; Crime Detection and Investigation 20%; Forensic Science 15%; Correctional Administration 10%; Criminology 20%. Requirements to Take the Criminology Board Exam

Under RA 11131 (The Philippine Criminology Profession Act of 2018), an applicant for the Criminologist Licensure Examination (CLE) must:

  • be a Filipino citizen, or a foreign citizen whose country has reciprocity with the Philippines in the practice of criminology
  • be of good moral character, good reputation and of sound mind and body, certified by the school you graduated from and the barangay where you live
  • hold a CHED-accredited bachelor’s degree in criminology, or an equivalent degree from a foreign institution recognised by CHED
  • have no conviction for an offense involving moral turpitude

How to Apply for the Criminology Board Exam (LERIS)

  1. Create or log in to your account on LERIS, PRC's Licensure Examination and Registration Information System, at online.prc.gov.ph.
  2. Select the Criminologist Licensure Examination (CLE) and your preferred testing center.
  3. Upload your documents and ID photo, then pay the examination fee through the available payment channels.
  4. Book an appointment and submit your requirements at your chosen PRC office before the deadline.
  5. File within the application window in the table above — late applications are not accepted except in justifiable cases defined by PRC rules.

Criminology Board Exam Results 2026: When and Where They Come Out

PRC's target release dates are March 13, 2026 for the Feb 4–6, 2026 exam and September 4, 2026 for the Aug 1–3, 2026 exam. The Feb 4–6, 2026 results were released on March 13, 2026. The Aug 1–3, 2026 results were released on September 1, 2026. Targets are printed in the resolution — the actual release can land a few days either side and is announced only by PRC. Retakes

An applicant who has failed five times, consecutive or cumulative, must present a certificate from a CHED-recognised institution that they have completed a refresher course in criminology before filing again. Source: RA 11131, Sec. 14(e).

Criminology Board Exam 2027 Schedule: When PRC Publishes It

PRC has not yet released the 2027 schedule. It publishes the whole following-year calendar in one resolution, usually signed in late October and posted on prc.gov.ph in mid-November — the 2026 schedule (Resolution No. 2113, s. 2025) was signed on October 23, 2025 and posted on November 17, 2025 — so the criminology board exam 2027 dates are most likely out in November 2026. Each profession usually keeps the same months from one calendar to the next, so the 2026 rounds above are the working reference until then. This page switches to the official 2027 dates the day PRC publishes them.
