SSS Contribution Calculator
To compute your SSS contribution, match your monthly salary to its Monthly Salary Credit (MSC) and apply the 2026 rate: employees pay 5% of the MSC (their employer pays 10% plus EC), while self-employed, voluntary and OFW members pay the full 15%. The calculator below does the lookup and the math for you using the official schedule in force since January 2025.
How the Calculation Works
- Find your MSC. Your salary falls into a ₱500-wide range on the official schedule; that range maps to an MSC between ₱5,000 and ₱35,000 (₱8,000 minimum for OFW members).
- Apply the rate. The 2026 rate is 15% of the MSC. Employees pay 5% and their employer pays 10%; other member types pay the full 15% themselves.
- Add EC where applicable. Employers (and self-employed members for themselves) add ₱10 per month if the MSC is below ₱15,000, or ₱30 if ₱15,000 and above.
- MPF split. If your MSC exceeds ₱20,000, the contribution on the excess automatically goes to the Mandatory Provident Fund (MySSS Pension Booster) — same rate, no extra action needed.
Current SSS Contribution Rate & Schedule
The rate is 15% — the final step of the graduated increases under RA 11199 (12% in 2019, 13% in 2021, 14% in 2023, 15% since January 2025). The MSC floor is ₱5,000 and the ceiling ₱35,000; both are unchanged for 2026. See the full SSS Contribution Table 2026 for every salary bracket and member type.
Example Computations
Employee example: ₱22,400 salary → range ₱22,250–₱22,749.99 → MSC ₱22,500. Employee share = 5% × ₱22,500 = ₱1,125. Employer adds ₱2,250 + ₱30 EC. Total remitted: ₱3,405.
Self-employed example: declared earnings ₱14,000 → MSC ₱14,000. Contribution = 15% × ₱14,000 + ₱10 EC = ₱2,110, paid by the member.
Voluntary example: declared earnings ₱10,000 → MSC ₱10,000. Contribution = 15% × ₱10,000 = ₱1,500, no EC.
OFW example: ₱7,000 declared earnings still uses the ₱8,000 OFW minimum MSC. Contribution = 15% × ₱8,000 = ₱1,200.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I compute my SSS contribution?
Find the salary range your monthly salary falls into on the official SSS schedule, take the Monthly Salary Credit (MSC) for that range, then multiply by the rate: employees pay 5% of the MSC (the employer pays 10% plus EC), while self-employed, voluntary and OFW members pay the full 15%. Example: a ₱18,000 salary maps to an ₱18,000 MSC, so an employee pays ₱900 per month.
How much SSS do I pay for a ₱20,000 salary?
For a ₱20,000 monthly salary, the MSC is ₱20,000. An employed member pays ₱1,000 (5%); the employer adds ₱2,000 (10%) plus ₱30 EC for a total of ₱3,030. A self-employed member pays ₱3,030; a voluntary member pays ₱3,000.
How is SSS computed for self-employed members?
Self-employed members declare their monthly earnings, which map to an MSC on the same schedule. They pay the full 15% of the MSC plus the Employees’ Compensation contribution (₱10 for MSC below ₱15,000, ₱30 for ₱15,000 and above). A self-employed member declaring ₱25,000 pays 15% × ₱25,000 + ₱30 = ₱3,780 per month.
Can a voluntary member choose any MSC?
Voluntary members generally declare their monthly earnings to set their MSC, subject to SSS rules on MSC changes (limits apply to how much you can increase your MSC within a year, especially for members aged 55 and above). The contribution is 15% of the chosen MSC with no EC.
Is the calculator result the exact amount I will pay?
It matches the official schedule for the standard cases, but your actual billing can differ if you have retroactive adjustments, MSC-change restrictions, or employer-specific arrangements. Always confirm your posted contributions in your My.SSS account — this site is independent and cannot access SSS records.
