Hourly rate = daily ÷ 8. ₱20,000 a month → ₱766.77 a day → ₱95.85 an hour at factor 313. The calculator converts in either direction and shows your overtime and night-shift hourly rates.

The DOLE Factors Explained

  • 365 — Monthly-paid — paid every day of the month incl. rest days and holidays: 293 ordinary working days + 52 rest days + 12 regular holidays + 8 special days.
  • 395 — Daily-paid — works every day incl. rest days and holidays: 293 + 67.6 (52 rest days × 1.3) + 24 (12 regular holidays × 2) + 10.4 (8 special days × 1.3).
  • 313 — Daily-paid — 6-day week, rest days unpaid, holidays paid: 293 ordinary working days + 12 regular holidays + 8 special days.
  • 261 — Daily-paid — 5-day week, Saturdays and Sundays unpaid: 241 ordinary working days + 12 regular holidays + 8 special days.
  • Factor 305 instead of 313, or 253 instead of 261, when the 8 special (non-working) days are not paid.
  • NWPC's own press releases convert daily rates with factor 313 (e.g. ₱455 × 313 ÷ 12 = ₱11,868). Daily minimum wages by region are on the Minimum Wage Philippines 2026 page; ₱755 a day in NCR is ₱19,692.92 a month at 313.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I convert a monthly salary to a daily rate in the Philippines?

Daily rate = monthly salary × 12 ÷ factor, where the factor is the number of days you are paid for in a year (DOLE Handbook on Workers' Statutory Monetary Benefits): 365 if you are monthly-paid (paid every day of the month), 313 for a six-day week with rest days unpaid, 261 for a five-day week, 395 if you work every day including rest days and holidays. ₱20,000 a month is ₱766.77 a day at 313, ₱919.54 at 261, ₱657.53 at 365.

How do I get my hourly rate?

Divide the daily rate by the normal eight working hours. ₱766.77 a day is ₱95.85 an hour; an ordinary-day overtime hour is 125% of that, a night-shift hour 110%. The NCR minimum of ₱755.00 a day works out to ₱94.38 an hour.

Which factor should I use, 313 or 261?

313 when you work six days a week and are not paid for rest days but are paid for the 12 regular holidays and 8 special days; 261 when you work five days a week. Use 305 or 253 instead if the eight special (non-working) days are unpaid. Monthly-paid employees, who are paid for every calendar day, use 365. Your payslip or company policy states which you are.

Why does the daily rate matter?

Overtime, holiday pay, night differential, leave conversions, retirement pay and final pay are all computed from the daily or hourly rate, and the minimum wage is set per day. Using the wrong factor changes every one of those amounts.
