Passing Score for the Veterinary Medicine Licensure Examination (VMLE)
A weighted average of at least 75% with no rating below 60% in any subject. If you average 75% or more but score below 60% in a subject, you retake only those subjects — at the next scheduled exam, under the IRR — and must reach 75% in them; otherwise the whole exam counts as failed and you retake every subject. What the exam covers
Nine two-hour subjects over three days on PRC’s November 2026 program: Day 1 — Veterinary Anatomy (10%), Veterinary Pharmacology (10%), Veterinary Medicine (14%); Day 2 — Veterinary Zootechnics (12%), Veterinary Physiology (10%), Veterinary Pathology (10%); Day 3 — Veterinary Parasitology (10%), Veterinary Microbiology and Public Health (14%), Veterinary Surgery (10%). RA 9268, Sec. 14 lists eight subjects with surgery inside Veterinary Medicine; the Board’s 2024 Enhanced Tables of Specifications made Veterinary Surgery a subject of its own, given in a separate block since the October 2025 exam. One non-programmable calculator is allowed. Source: PRC — November 2026 Veterinarians CBLE Program of Examination.
Requirements to Take the Veterinarian Board Exam
Under RA 9268 (Philippine Veterinary Medicine Act of 2004, which repealed RA 382), an applicant for the Veterinary Medicine Licensure Examination (VMLE) must:
- be a Filipino citizen, or a foreigner whose country extends reciprocity to Filipino veterinarians
- be in good health, of good moral character and of sound mind
- not have been convicted by final judgment of an offense involving moral turpitude
- hold a degree in veterinary medicine from a college of veterinary medicine recognised and accredited by CHED

Veterinarian Board Exam Results 2026: When and Where They Come Out
PRC's target release dates are November 10, 2026 for the Nov 4–6, 2026 exam. Targets are printed in the resolution — the actual release can land a few days either side and is announced only by PRC. AyTool does not host exam results or lists of passers; passing rates for every 2026 release are compared on the PRC Board Exam Results 2026 page.
- prc.gov.ph — the official list of passers and the top 10, posted as a news release on prc.gov.ph and on PRC's official Facebook page.
- Verification of Rating — your own scores per subject, through LERIS at online.prc.gov.ph once PRC opens the service for that exam.
- News sites and review centers republish the list within hours; treat anything not on prc.gov.ph as unofficial.
Retakes
Apart from the conditional re-examination for subjects below 60%, RA 9268 and its IRR (Board Resolution No. 10, s. 2004) set no retake limit, waiting period or refresher-course requirement. PRC’s general power under RA 8981, Sec. 7(d) lets it require a refresher course after three failures, but no veterinary-specific PRC issuance applying that rule has been published on the Board’s PRC page. Veterinarian Board Exam 2027 Schedule: When PRC Publishes It
PRC has not yet released the 2027 schedule. It publishes the whole following-year calendar in one resolution, usually signed in late October and posted on prc.gov.ph in mid-November — the 2026 schedule (Resolution No. 2113, s. 2025) was signed on October 23, 2025 and posted on November 17, 2025 — so the veterinarian board exam 2027 dates are most likely out in November 2026. Each profession usually keeps the same months from one calendar to the next, so the 2026 rounds above are the working reference until then. This page switches to the official 2027 dates the day PRC publishes them.
