Passing Score for the Chemical Engineers Licensure Examination (ChELE)
A general average of at least 70% with no rating below 50% in any subject. Neither RA 9297 nor its IRR has a conditional pass or a removal exam for a single failed subject. Source: RA 9297, Sec. 19.
What the exam covers
Three subjects over three days on PRC’s November 2026 program: Day 1 — Physical and Chemical Principles (30%: chemistry for engineers, analytical, organic and physical chemistry, material science, environmental science and engineering); Day 2 — Chemical Engineering Principles (40%: calculations, thermodynamics, transport phenomena, heat and mass transfer, particle technology, separation processes, reaction engineering, plant design, biochemical engineering); Day 3 — General Engineering (30%: calculus, data analysis, differential equations, process safety, engineering economics, management and mechanics, laws and ethics, process control, chemical process industries, industrial waste management). Perry’s Handbook and an updated periodic table are allowed; only one non-programmable calculator may be brought, and the Casio fx-991ES and fx-991ES Plus are expressly banned. RA 9297, Sec. 15 requires chemical engineering to carry at least 40% of the exam. Source: PRC — November 2026 ChELE Program of Examination.

Chemical Engineering Board Exam Results 2026: When and Where They Come Out
PRC's target release dates are May 26, 2026 for the May 20–22, 2026 exam and November 18, 2026 for the Nov 14–16, 2026 exam. The May 20–22, 2026 results were released on May 25, 2026. Targets are printed in the resolution — the actual release can land a few days either side and is announced only by PRC. AyTool does not host exam results or lists of passers; passing rates for every 2026 release are compared on the PRC Board Exam Results 2026 page.
- prc.gov.ph — the official list of passers and the top 10, posted as a news release on prc.gov.ph and on PRC's official Facebook page.
- Verification of Rating — your own scores per subject, through LERIS at online.prc.gov.ph once PRC opens the service for that exam.
- News sites and review centers republish the list within hours; treat anything not on prc.gov.ph as unofficial.
Retakes
RA 9297 and its IRR (Board Resolution No. 13, s. 2004) set no retake limit, waiting period or refresher-course requirement. PRC’s general power under RA 8981, Sec. 7(d) lets it require a refresher course after three failures, but no chemical-engineering-specific PRC issuance applying that rule has been published on the Board’s PRC page. Source: RA 8981, Sec. 7(d).
Chemical Engineering Board Exam 2027 Schedule: When PRC Publishes It
PRC has not yet released the 2027 schedule. It publishes the whole following-year calendar in one resolution, usually signed in late October and posted on prc.gov.ph in mid-November — the 2026 schedule (Resolution No. 2113, s. 2025) was signed on October 23, 2025 and posted on November 17, 2025 — so the chemical engineering board exam 2027 dates are most likely out in November 2026. Each profession usually keeps the same months from one calendar to the next, so the 2026 rounds above are the working reference until then. This page switches to the official 2027 dates the day PRC publishes them.
